After graduation , I was supposed to visit Singapore for vacation  and try my luck to find a job .  But Asia United Bank HR called  me and asked me to start to work ASAP.  I tried to ask if they can wait for me until July because of my trip but they insisted that I have to start immediately.  It was on my first day of work when I met him  in AUB that was May 14, 2001.  He was already working for the IT-Deposits Team  for almost a year and I was a fresh graduate who was assigned under IT-Loans Team . Although we were cubicle neighbors , we never had a chance to talk to each other.  We crossed our paths after 3 months when I needed to work one Saturday and the whole Deposits team were there.  I had no choice but to join them for lunch  rather than to eat alone - luckily one of my schoolmate (Allen) was with them.  As usual I was with all guys and I just need to follow them in Robinsons Galeria  to eat and to go to Astro Vision to find new VCDs to add in their collection.  It was when I bought my first VCD, "Only You"  , and noticed him .

Soon after, I found myself hanging with the same group of friends as him.  Maire, Sher and me, then for the guys - they were Hubert, Mike and him.  We always hang out together for after-lunch strolling at Megamall  and dinner after office. As a friend, he will send me to the FX waiting queue. One  rainy morning I received one SMS from an unknown number, it was the usual forwarded message.  When I reached the office I immediately asked Mike if he knows the number.  Then he started teasing me that it was Eric's number .  Soon after, every afternoon he will wait for me.  We became constant companion and text mates . We both love watching movies  , so when our barkadas from the bank have their own gimiks, he will just invite me to accompany him.

On April 2004 I decided to work in Singapore .  it was a tough decision to leave him behind.  But he made it easy for me by giving me all of his support and assurance that he will do his best to be with me as soon as he can. Its really not easy to have a long distance relationship.  But thanks to phonecards and sms because we were able to work things out.  A day before our anniversary he flew to Singapore.  He gave up his job just to stay with me.
